Blackberry Curve 8520

The Blackberry handset got the Crackberry nickname for a good reason - it's still one of the best smartphones around and the addition of a touch sensitive pad instead of a rollerball is a welcome tweak.

RIM's handset models have gone through several changes in the last few years and the Curve 8520 is a standout: the combination of the big bright screen, QWERTY keypad, touch navigation button instead of the old rollerball, and of course the Blackberry World app store and operating system refresh makes you fall in love with the smartphone company again.

At 106.5g (3.8oz) in weight it is lighter than its predecessor, the 8900, but is more or less the same size, and with a 2.46-inch high resolution screen. The backlit keyboard is a good feature as is the Backberry App World store, whcih has plenty of apps including official ones for Twitter, Flickr, Facebook and plenty of others.

Get it: On O2 from €129 to €179
