Flickr gets friendly with Twitter
02.07.2009

Photo-sharing site Flickr has just launched its new Flickr2Twitter integration that will easily allow Flickr members to share their pictures via micro-blogging site Twitter.
The new service will automatically tweet a short URL so that the web link to your photo will be seen as flic.kr/yourphoto in your Twitter stream.
There are a few ways to get your images from Flickr over to Twitter. You can use the existing 'blog this' feature, so that the photo you are currently viewing can be sent straight to your Twitter strea, or alternatively you can tweet images snapped on your mobile handset directly to Twitter by emailing it.
A personalised email address is created as soon as you authorise access to Twitter from your Flickr account.
Aside from Flickr2Twitter, there are several existing services for tweeting your images including Twitpic, which is used by Tweetie's iPhone app, and Pikchur , which allows for sharing on multiple platforms including Twitter, Facebook and Friendfeed.
