09.03.2010

One hundred new maps, three new countries and more than 1,000 kilometres of new road have been added to the TomTom map shop for its sat-nav devices.
If you're thinking of holidaying afar this year and usually rely on sat nav for getting about, then you will be happy with the new additions to TomTom's maps.
For the first time, TomTom customers can download maps for Morocco and Western Sahara, Chile and French Antilles.
The French Antilles map is a holiday map with full coverage at street level in major cities and road connector network of rural areas. Countries covered in this map are: Guadaloupe, Martinique, Saint Barthélemy and Saint Martin. It costs €39.95.
These new maps include tens of thousands of validated edits and anonymous GPS measurements, says TomTom, which came from the sat-nav firm's global community of drivers.
