01.03.2010

Sure there have been guitar tab software and tuner apps and the like but the i-tab can lay claim to the fact that it is the word's first ever dedicated portable guitar tab player.
The i-tab, created by an Irish company based in Maynooth, is a touch-screen gadget that clips onto your guitar and has scrolling lyrics and chords in time to the song you're playing along to.
With a 5-inch colour touch screen the i-tab is ultra-portable and has an in-built speaker, comes with headphones, a stylus, USB connector and power charger, making it one of the ultimate high tech accessories for the guitar player.
This gadget also has TV out leads so you can play synchronized chords, lyrics and backing tracks through the player itself or through your TV so that your friends can sing along.
The i-tab also comes with 30 free song tabs that include U2's Beautiful Day, Wonderwall from Oasis and The Rolling Stones' Jumping Jack Flash.
It goes on sale mid-March from the i-tab website <http://www.i-tab.com/> and retails at €149 plus additional tabs ad backing tracks can also be downloaded from the site.
