Nikon releases world's slimmest wide-angle 10x
03.02.2010

You'll have a case of the wantsies when you see Nikon's brand spanking new Coolpix S8000 - the world's slimmest wide-angle 10x zoom camera that measures a mere 27.3mm thick.
Amongst the technology packed into the diminutive S8000 is high-definition (HD) movie recording complete with stereo sound. It has a resolution of 720p and will capture footage at 30 frames per second.
And it's easy to use with some cool automatic functions: there are four anti-blur functions alone and it has a DSLR class auto focus (AF) system.
The S8000 also has some handy on-board editing in the form of Creative Slider: you can adjust brightness, saturation and colour tone easily using the Rotary Multi Selector.
It comes in three colours, black, brown and silver, and has an aluminium finish plus a rubber grip.
The S8000 goes on sale from mid-February and carries an SRP of €300.
